Kaikohe Dress Rehearsals

On Tuesday we travelled to the Memorial Hall in Kaikohe for dress rehearsals. When we got there we watched three performances from Te Kura Kaupapa Maori o Kaikohe and we watched another group. After them was our time to shine. When we were getting ready I was really nervous going on stage. It felt like I had butterflies in my stomach which made me not want to go on stage but it helped me perform the best I could. As we were singing we were doing alright until some of the girls and boys went flat. I was trying to get back on note but it was hard for me because the girls kept on singing off key. As we finished our first waiata we were getting ready to do our haka . We were going all out on the haka. I felt like  the boys and I were going beasty as. Once we came off stage I felt proud and amazed in how we performed. All the kapa haka boys were excited because of what we have achieved. I really loved that performance because we did amazing and did only half as good as we are going to do on Thursday.
